1. When should I order my cake?
Order your wedding and groom's cakes at least eight (8) weeks prior to your date. Custom
designs and flowers may require longer.
2. Do you supply the flowers for the cake?
Notify your florist of the type and color of your flowers needed to coordinate with your cake.
We are NOT responsible for flower set-up and arrangements on your cakes.
3. What kind of deposit is required?
A 25% NON-REFUNDABLE down payment is required when placing your cake order. The remaining
balance is due two (2) weeks prior to delivery. Deposits are required on all cake stands and will be refunded when they
are returned.
4. What is the delivery charge?
There is a $35.00 Delivery charge for set-up in Walker County. Price may vary according
to distance traveled for outside Walker County.
5. How much will my cakes cost?
The size, complexity, type of flowers and ornamentation may affect the overall cost of your wedding
cake. Discuss all of the options at the time you place your order.
6. Can I bring you a picture of the cake I want?
While bridal magazines and websites are wonderful sources of inspiration, keep in mind that the picture needs
to show enough detailing to duplicate. Take the time also to look at the cake artist's photo albums of the many creations
she has done.
7. I am getting married outside. Will the cake be alright outside?
If you are planning an outdoor Texas wedding, our summers are extreme for cakes and our weather
is so unpredictable. Heat melts most icings and chocolate curls. The high humidity will wilt many sugar and fresh
flowers. Rain and wind can cause havoc by collapsing tents and blowing tablecloths right off tables. Also, don't
forget, this is FIRE ANT and MOSQUITO COUNTRY. Plan accordingly to protect your cakes (and the rest of your wedding).
We recommend placing the cakes indoors if the temperature is above 85 degrees.
8. What will happen if I have to cancel my wedding?
If, for some reason, you must cancel your wedding, you should notify your cake decorator immediately.
A forfeiture of the deposit may be required. If the cancellation is far enough in advance, a refund may be possible.
Because many cake artists book up well in advance, a cancellation often represents irreplaceable business. Ask about
the cancellation policy on our first meeting.
Careful planning and organization will help keep your stress level down on that special day. We,
as cake artists, look forward to having a pre-wedding meeting with you and be able to fulfill your dreams for a wonderful
wedding cake.
